60 year old female 5 months after composite rhytidectomy (deep plane facelift) and upper and lower lid blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
61 y/o male 5 weeks post upper and lower lid blepharoplasty. Fat from the medial compartment of the lower lids was transposed into the tear trough. This is the depression near the lateral aspect of the nose that can create a dark shadow. Filler is sometimes used to camouflage this contour issue but moving eyelid fat into the depression will be a permanent result.

This 66-year-old female was treated for facial aging with upper and lower lid dermatochalasis. The patient had a composite rhytidectomy (facelift) with buccal fat pad reduction and sequential tension suturing, upper lid blepharoplasty, and lower lid blepharoplasty with fat transposition into the tear trough. The post-op photos were taken 3 months after surgery.
